  • About Me:

  • I am....
    A Child of God
    A Farmer's Wife
    A Mama of the 2 Cutest little Boys you have EVER seen (partial? maybe!)
    A Photographer
    A Lover of all things Antique

    I have a passion for photography that, if I weren't careful, would consume every part of my life. There is not one aspect of it that I don't love. From meeting new people, to finding great locations, to shopping for props, to studying to improve my art, to editing images, packaging prints...... the list could go on and on!! It is all so exciting to me! I am so thankful that it also allows me to be there for my son. Photography is my passion, but my family is my world.

    Every time I meet a new client, I try to imagine what they would want in their pictures to represent. Then, I take that idea and add my "style" to them. After all, these will be images that will hang in your house, not mine. However, if you are looking for stiff, super-posed pictures, I can tell you I'm not the photographer for you. My style is very relaxed and laid-back. I prefer to get children in their natural state. Some of my favorite pictures of my son, are the ones where he isn't even looking at the camera. Those are the moments when he is most himself. Just being a kid!

    If you are new to my blog and looking for a photographer, please feel free to contact me with any questions. I would love to hear from you and help in any way I can!! Thanks~ Amber

HeLLo…… Is anyone out there?!?!

It was brought to my attention today that one of my clients strolled on over to my little ole blog yesterday. Oh wow! I decided to check it out after she told me she saw her session from last year. Really? It’s seriously been an ENTIRE YEAR since I last posted?!? I’m a T. Total. Slacker! I will blame it on the fact that we didn’t have internet access until a couple of months ago. For those of you who have had sessions with me in the last, oh say, 12 months……. I’m sorry!

I’m going to try to do better!

Hope everyone has an AWESOME Christmas and New Year! I can’t wait to tell you about all the fun new stuff happening at AEP next year!

Halea Senior 2012

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting this sweet girl and her family. Is she not gorgeous?!? Seriously, I don’t think I took one bad picture of her. And she was just as sweet as she is beautiful. Anyway, these were taken out at our new farm in Lester, AL. I’m so glad her mom agreed to come out. I just LOVE everything about this session! Here is a few of Miss Halea:)

Redmill Children {North Alabama Children’s Photographer}

Ok seriously, some of the most beautiful children I think I’ve ever seen! And their clothes (made by their sweet great-grandmother)…… To. Die. For!!! I had so much fun last week doing their session. We took these at their gorgeous home in Athens and they were just as sweet as they are pretty. Little Miss Langley was so polite and the twins, well I could’ve eaten them up! Their sweet mama should win an award. Somedays I think having one is tough, but 3 and this organized? I couldn’t even begin to know how she does it! Anyway, I couldn’t wait to get home and work on their pictures. I just loved them all! Their dad is a former football player for Alabama so of course we had to get some in their Bama outfits. For those of you who know me, know I’m an Auburn fan, but even I think they looked adorable in these pictures! I know he’s going to be so excited to get these. Little Jack looks like he just might take after his daddy. I think they definitely have another football player on their hands when he gets older!

Jack {North Alabama Newborn Photographer}

I can’t even begin to explain how much I love this sweet family! Monica is another one of my dear friends and I’m secretly hoping that Wyatt and Bella will marry one day…..hehe! We always have so much fun together and I was so excited when she found out she was expecting again. She is officially part of the “Moms of Boys” club! It’s a whole new world. I’m sad to say that my only advice I could give her was in the diaper changing department, but that is very important with baby boys! I wish someone would’ve told me before I joined the club!

Anyway, little Jack was so sweet for his newborn session! He did so good and let me do anything I wanted. Such great little baby models lately, I’ll tell ya! Big sister Bella is so sweet with Jack and I know they are going to grow up to be great friends. Monica brought the CUTEST little antique doll bed I have ever seen. It fit Jack perfectly! I’m officially on the hunt for one for the studio. I may be calling her up to borrow it if I can’t find one though:)Anyway, here is little Jack and his sweet family. BTW, is Monica not the most gorgeous woman you have ever seen?!?! She’s just as beautiful inside as she is outside, which is the only thing that could keep you from hating her for being that gorgeous…….kidding!

Hudson {Southern Tennessee Newborn Photographer}

Hudson was another one of my sweet little babies I had the pleasure of photographing recently. He was so precious. His mom and grandmother came down from Tennessee for his newborn session and brought the COOLEST props EVER!! It is always so fun when people have great ideas and come with things in hand. I love it and I felt on creative overload the entire session. He didn’t particularly want to sleep in the beginning, but he just looked around and took it all in! He was so good. It’s not always a bad thing when babies won’t sleep, it just means I get to rock them and cuddle more! By the end, he finally dozed off and we were able to get some sweet sleepy shots.
